Nuraghe Su Mulinu

MegalithicEuropeItalyc. 1,500 BCENuragic

Marlstone complex combining an early corridor protonuraghe with later tholos towers and a four-tower antemural. One tower's ritual room preserves the only known Nuragic altar of the Early Iron Age — a sandstone model of a nuraghe fortress with lustral basin and drainage, once adorned with bronze swords — central evidence in the debate over the 'sacralization' of nuragic architecture.
