Nuraghe Piscu

MegalithicEuropeItalyc. 1,400 BCENuragic

Complex nuraghe dominating the Trexenta plain: a central tholos tower ~11 m across and 9 m high in regular courses of worked marl-limestone, enclosed by a lobed bastion and an outer antemural with village huts and a rainwater cistern. Whether the bastion is trilobate or quadrilobate is genuinely unclear — an 'unusual floor plan' noted in the literature.
