Ancient capital of the Qatabanian kingdom in the Bayhan valley of southwestern Yemen. Occupied c. 5th century BCE - 1st century CE. The city walls and temple complexes use cyclopean polygonal masonry comparable to other South Arabian sites and to Mediterranean megalithic traditions.
