Barran Temple
TempleMiddle East
Sabaean temple complex near Marib, Yemen, also dedicated to the moon god Almaqah. Smaller than nearby Awwam but featuring the same precision-cut limestone masonry tradition with six monumental pillars still standing. Dated c. 7th century BCE.
Look Closer — this site carries open questions: stones heavier than the period's tools could lift; stones fitted without mortar, almost no gap.
