Subterranean inverted temple in Patan, Gujarat, built ~1063 CE by Queen Udayamati of the Solanki dynasty in memory of her husband Bhima I. Seven stories deep, 27 m down, 64 m long. Over 500 principal sculptures and a thousand smaller carvings line the descent. Buried by Saraswati River floods for centuries, excavated 1980s. UNESCO World Heritage 2014.
