Palau Megalithic Site
MegalithicPacific
Cluster of monolithic stones and earthwork terraces in the Republic of Palau, particularly the Badrulchau Stone Monoliths in northern Babeldaob — 37 standing basalt columns arranged in two rows, with some showing carved faces. Local tradition attributes them to gods. Construction date and purpose unconfirmed.
Look Closer — this site carries open questions: stones heavier than the period's tools could lift; geometry beyond period explanation.
