Ancient quarry on Rota (Northern Mariana Islands) where the largest unfinished latte stones in the world remain in situ. The largest abandoned pillar would have stood 6.4 m tall and weighed 30+ tons. The quarrying technique and the reason for the abandonment of these stones remain open questions.
