Roman-era ruined city in the Judean Foothills with extensive underground cave system, a small step-pyramid, and unique carved stone wheels of unknown function. Surface ruins date to Second Temple Period (516 BCE - 70 CE). The pyramid and the underground complex invite questions about earlier substrate construction and the function of the stone wheels.
