Guanlin Temple

Temple complex near Luoyang in Henan Province, traditionally a memorial to the warlord Guan Yu. Some of the underlying stone structures suggest a far older origin, possibly predating the historical Guan Yu cult. Cited by Joseph de Guignes (1785) in his theory linking ancient China to Egypt via shared pyramid architecture.
