Roughly 3,000 documented dolmens, constructed from precisely cut stone slabs weighing up to 20 tons, many featuring carved portholes and ornamental relief work. Carbon-dated to the 3rd-2nd millennium BCE. The masonry precision rivals Western European megalithic traditions and predates them in several places.
