Compact Hellenistic fort on the Palaiokastro hill east of Agios Adrianos village in the Argolid, built of grey limestone in fine polygonal masonry: a 50 × 26 m enclosure with a square keep surviving three storeys high, entered through a gate with a 2.1 m monolithic lintel. It guarded the Argos-Epidaurus route and remains essentially unexcavated since trial digs in 1890.
