Buddhist-Taoist-Confucian temple built into a cliff face in Shanxi, 75 meters above the ground. The temple is supported by oak crossbeam pegs inserted into the cliff and appears to defy gravity. Original construction in the late Northern Wei (5th-6th c. CE).
