Pallava-era rock-cut shrine on the Tamil Nadu coast, ~700 CE. A carved tiger-head opening above an interior chamber, sited directly on the Indian Ocean. Local tradition holds it predates the Pallava work by millennia. The cave structure withstood the 2004 tsunami.
