Massive rock-cut cathedral complex in the Selime village of Aksaray Province, southern Cappadocia, carved into volcanic tuff spires. Multi-level chambers including a basilica with carved columns, refectories, and kitchens. Dates to the Byzantine era (8th-13th c. CE) but the rock-cutting technique invites parallels to Lalibela's monolithic churches and to other Cappadocian monasteries.
