Tomb / BurialAsia
Cluster of nine keyhole-shaped kofun in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, dating to the late 5th-6th c. CE. The Inariyama Kofun within the cluster yielded the famous gold-inlaid iron sword (Inariyama Sword) inscribed with one of the oldest extant Japanese-language inscriptions. Modern aerial views reveal striking geometric precision in the keyhole layouts.
