Rock-CutSouth AmericaPeruc. 1450 CEInca
'Stone house' huaca above San Sebastián on Cusco's outskirts, combining carved bedrock with andesite masonry — polygonal ashlar mixed with cyclopean boulders. Features four ritual wall niches, a ~9 m underground passage cut through rock, carved steps and a water-distribution canal; its alternate name Phaqchayuq ('the one with the waterfall') reflects ritual water associations. Two doorways are reported to align with the June and December solstices.
