Tomb complex of China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang (210 BCE), near Xi'an. The central mound (over 50m tall) remains unexcavated. Surrounded by the famous Terracotta Army of 8,000+ life-size warriors, plus chariots and horses. The interior chamber is described in Sima Qian's records as containing mercury rivers and a celestial mural.
