Underground city in the Cappadocia region whose name ("forty eyes") refers to the multiple ventilation and access shafts cut through the complex. Living quarters, storage, and chapels span several levels. Part of the broader Cappadocian underground network with at least 200 documented sites, most still under-investigated.
