Gur Dokthar (Daughter's Tomb)

MonolithicMiddle East

Stepped stone monument in the Bushehr region of southwestern Iran, of similar design to the Tomb of Cyrus at Pasargadae but smaller. Local tradition associates it with the daughter of a king; mainstream scholarship attributes it to an early Achaemenid royal family member, possibly Cambyses or a related Cyaxares-era figure. Dry-fit precision masonry, no mortar.
