Goguryeo Kingdom royal tombs in Ji'an, Jilin Province, near the North Korean border. Step-pyramid tombs of the Goguryeo kings (c. 37 BCE - 668 CE), constructed of precisely-fitted stone blocks. The General's Tomb is 31 m wide and 13 m high. Distinct stone-pyramid tradition that parallels Maya step-pyramid construction.
