Giants' Grave Su Mont'e s'Abe

Tomb / BurialEuropeItalyc. 1,700 BCENuragic (over Bonnanaro gallery grave)

One of Sardinia's largest giants' tombs, in granite near Olbia: a mound 28 m long enclosing a 13 m funerary corridor whose orthostatic walls — an Early Bronze Age gallery grave — were crowned with coursed blocks and a 21.5 m exedra when the monument was rebuilt as a giants' tomb. Its two-phase biography is the standard case study for the debated evolution from allée couverte to giants' tomb.
