Daisen Kofun

Japan's largest tomb and the centerpiece of the Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group (UNESCO World Heritage). Keyhole-shaped earth mound 486m long, attributed to Emperor Nintoku (~5th century CE). Comparable in volume to the Great Pyramid of Giza. Three concentric moats. Largely unexcavated by Imperial Household Agency restriction.
