Flat-topped volcanic height on the northern Methana peninsula preserving stretches of ancient fortification in large roughly fitted volcanic stone, a tower stump and a cistern. Mentioned by no ancient author and never excavated, it is dated only by the broadly Classical-Hellenistic look of the walls; an inscription from the site names a sanctuary of Poseidon Phytalios. Virtually everything about it — date, name, function — remains open.
